The Product Strategy Team is responsible for driving ETF/ETP adoption and commercialization of the iShares range in EMEA. Within the strategy function, the segment specialist teams are the primary commercial axis for execution of client and commercial strategy, aligning with global client, product, and marketing functions to drive scale.
The Global Product Solutions, EMEA Product Strategy Team is seeking a VP who is excited to drive the commercialization of the Digital Assets & Commodities ETP segment: a growing and dynamic range of products that includes strategies such as bitcoin and gold. The role will collaborate across partner functions to drive distribution priorities across the product lifecycle – from initial development, to range management and ongoing client support and commercialization. The focus of the role is to partner across product, marketing, and sales to drive key initiatives including scaling new products, training our sales partners, developing educational collateral for clients, and supporting new product launches. The ideal candidate will display strategic vision, domain expertise in digital assets, an entrepreneurial mindset, as well as superb client-facing and written communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive client engagement and increased adoption of Digital Assets & Commodities ETPs in EMEA through insights, content, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product knowledge: Have a strong understanding of the product range, from fund structures, to index methodologies, investment theses and client use cases.
- Analysis and Insights: Leverage external research, macro data, and industry trends to form investment theses and conclusions.
- Content production: Create and maintain content pieces, and help produce new insights for end-clients.
- Collaboration: Work horizontally with partner teams from investment strategy, portfolio consulting, asset allocation, research and marketing.
- Engagement: Conceive and activate initiatives with salespeople to target key asset-gathering opportunities, and present to end-clients.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 5-10 years financial industry experience, specifically in investment management.
- Crypto & commodity knowledge: Strong understanding of drivers of demand, from both the underlying asset and investor perspectives.
- Strategic thinker able to lead initiatives across functions (Product, Marketing, Sales).
- Entrepreneurial mindset. Technologist preferred.
- Excellent communicator, both written and oral, experienced in presenting to senior leaders and clients.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and MS Dynamics advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in a Continental European language preferred, e.g. German.
