The Role

Our client is looking for an efficient and detail-orientated Finance Support Officer to carry out purchase and sales ledger duties, including invoice processing, reconciliation, and income recording. You’ll be working with their finance system (Access) and liaising with colleagues, suppliers and customers, so excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

This role is available either full-time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday) or part-time (30 hours per week), offering flexibility to suit your circumstances.

You’ll be confident working independently, managing deadlines, and prioritising tasks in a busy finance environment. You’ll bring a proactive and organised approach to your work, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality support. Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude will help you thrive in this role.

What You’ll Need

To be successful, you’ll need:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
  • Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive and professional approach to working with colleagues, suppliers and customers
  • Experience in a finance or bookkeeping role is desirable but not essential
