About Scottish Autism

At Scottish Autism, our organisational values are Collaboration, Compassion, Change Makers and Contribution. We strive to be inclusive and forward-thinking, promoting a coaching model to develop the autonomy of our teams.

Role overview

We are seeking a dedicated Services Manager to join our West of Scotland services team. The West of Scotland area covers a wide geographical area with services from Glasgow, Hamilton and Helensburgh. Successful candidates must possess strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills and be committed to delivering high-quality, autism-specific services. You will provide and maintain a quality service focused on developing skills and strategies of intervention to maximise independence for those we support. You will liaise with multi-disciplinary teams, develop and audit care and/or support plans, manage risk, oversee people management, and develop close links in the local community to promote the service and the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the direct service provision of a group of services to the highest quality and maintain these services as autism-specific.
  • Manage financial and budgetary targets involved in the provision of these services; participate in planning, updating and reviewing budgets.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure delivery of professional, person-centred support.

Qualifications & experience

Suitable candidates will have a relevant qualification as set by the SSSC, such as SVQ level 4 in Health/Social Care and the Leadership in Management and Care Award, coupled with experience in a management role.

Benefits

  • 32 days' holiday (increasing to 37 with length of service)
  • Free 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
  • Various discounts via our discount platform and corporate partnerships
  • Sector-leading training from day one
  • Non-contributory life assurance scheme
  • Workplace Pension (Employer matched up to 9%)

Additional information

This post is subject to a PVG Disclosure check. The successful candidate will be required to update their SSSC registration within 3 months of starting in post. Scottish Autism covers all PVG membership and SSSC Registration costs for employees. A full UK driving licence is preferred due to the wide geographical area covered by the role. Valuing diversity and promoting equal opportunities is central to our vision, mission and values. We encourage and welcome applications from people with lived experience of autism.
