About the role:
The Investigations Practice and Learning Lead is responsible for engaging key internal and external stakeholders to develop and embed excellent investigation practices across Certitude. The lead will act as an expert advisor, developing and embedding a root‑cause analysis approach to ensure consistently high‑quality investigations are undertaken, and learning outcomes are shared when things go wrong.
- Act as the expert lead for all investigations, supporting investigators and ensuring investigations (disciplinary, safeguarding, formal complaints, financial, grievance, serious incidents, etc.) are completed in accordance with policies and processes, working collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Lead serious incident investigations and complaints, ensuring a consistent high‑quality approach and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Deliver investigations training to colleagues as needed, ensuring a competent pool of investigators at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Quality, Learning & Development, HR, Finance and Operations to ensure a consistent approach to investigation, learning and recording of key themes and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain an effective recording system for the collation of investigation reports, appendices, correspondence, outcomes, recommendations, action tracking and learning dissemination.
About you:
- Experience of investigating serious incidents, complaints, safeguarding issues, etc. within a large or complex organisation.
- Experience of conducting investigations using root‑cause methodologies.
- Exceptional report‑writing skills.
- Experience of developing investigation practice through training, coaching and mentoring.
