About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our well established and supportive Specialist Support Team and make a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities. You’ll work closely with eleven individuals in their own homes, supporting them to have fulfilling lives. This role is ideal for a passionate PBS practitioner who values the chance to have a long‑term impact by working with colleagues to develop their practice over time. There will be opportunities for development in specific areas of interest, such as active support and trauma informed practice. This role is especially suited to those working towards their UKSBA competencies.

Duties:

  • Conducting functional behaviour assessments and analysing data to develop and implement PBS strategies
  • Supporting individuals at risk of exclusion or hospital admission through tailored support
  • Ensuring all assessments are person‑centred and accurately reflect risks and needs
  • Helping to deliver systems which monitor progress and outcomes
  • Delivering training and coaching to build PBS capacity within a team
  • Working in partnership with individuals, families and professionals

About you:

  • Hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or related discipline
  • Sound understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and autism, including those with complex health and mental health needs
  • Proven experience conducting functional behaviour assessments and implementing PBS strategies
  • Competence in data analysis to inform behaviour support planning and monitor quality‑of‑life outcomes
  • Ability to build and maintain respectful, trust‑based relationships with individuals and families
