Main duties of the job

To provide primary medical services to patientsof the practice by way of surgeries and relevant administration work togetherwith other duties as may be required by the practice in providing such servicesto its patients.

Specifically: organising patient referrals tosecondary care, initiating investigations, reading and classifying the resultsand communicating with patients, reading and taking appropriate action inrespect of letters from secondary care, authorising and preparing repeatprescriptions all on a daily basis.

Liaising with other members of the Primary Care Health Team and other agencies as appropriate, to ensure good relationships aremaintained at all times with patients, colleagues and other agencies.

About us

Weavers medical is a town centre practice serving a population of 19,900 patients from purpose built premises.

The practice currently has a team of 18 GPs and a nursing/HCA team of 10.

Job responsibilities

Part time up to 6 sessions per week. To include Monday and Friday.

Salary range £11,000 - £12,500 (top level for experienced GPs with at 4 years experience post CCT).

Dual location. On call duties optional.

We are not able to support skilled worker visa.

Possibility of WFH one day per week after successful completion of probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a high standard of care to patients by showing a commitment to continuing professional development and by participation in practice, clinical and training meetings.
• To attend practice meetings associated with your job role; clinical meetings, GP operational meeting, any other meetings arranged as required from time to time.
• Teaching and training Carrying out any duties commensurate with medical student teaching or GP training (debrief if required).
