About You: This is an important role where you’ll make a real difference to both student attendance and the day-to-day running of the school at Weavers Academy. You’ll help make sure every lesson has the right cover, every student is where they should be, and the school day runs smoothly. You’ll be organised, calm under pressure, and able to deal with a busy environment where things can change quickly. You’ll be confident speaking to staff, students, and parents, and willing to step in and solve problems as they arise. You’ll also be comfortable using systems to track attendance and spot any issues early. Most importantly, you’ll care about supporting young people and take pride in playing a key role in helping them succeed.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience: At least one year’s experience working in an attendance-focused role within an educational setting.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Experience working with children, young people, parents and families in a school environment, building positive and supportive relationships.
  • Data and analysis: Proven ability to analyse attendance data and identify key areas for improvement, taking action to support better outcomes.
  • Knowledge and understanding: Strong understanding of school systems and the challenges around truancy and non-attendance, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
  • Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, school staff, EWS, social workers and other professionals.
