Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an exciting opportunity for a driven, diligent, and friendly Trade Operative Multi Skilled (Advanced Multi Skilled Operative) with a plastering or bricklaying qualification to join our Voids Team. You will work full time, permanent, across our Property Services team and carry out planned, cyclical, void and responsive repair works across our portfolio of ~6500 properties, including plastering, brickwork, roofing, joinery and plumbing on tenanted and empty homes. The role involves participating in the Trust callout rota and working within a 30‑mile radius of Gadbrook Point, Northwich.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a range of planned, cyclical, void and responsive repair works across the Trust’s stock.
- Perform plastering, brickwork, roofing, joinery and plumbing tasks on tenanted and empty homes.
- Work safely, following guidelines, assessing risk and completing ongoing health and safety training.
- Participate in the callout rota and support maintenance across a 30‑mile service area.
Qualifications
- Completed a recognised trade apprenticeship to City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent.
- Experience in domestic or commercial building works.
- Ability to perform joinery, plastering, tiling, plumbing and brickwork to a high standard.
- Willingness to undertake further qualifications in health and safety and general management.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Required – DBS check in line with Disclosure & Barring Policy.
