Overview

Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative (Permanent)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £26,804.58 per annum (Plus van, fuel card, uniform & Tools provided)

Location: Based at Gadbrook Park, Northwich. Working across core locations such as Warrington and Cheshire.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Open Space Team to maintain Trust Open Spaces, internal and external communal areas, grassed areas, shrub beds, trees and play areas.
  • Assist in making neighbourhoods attractive, clean and safe through mowing, hedge cutting, weeding and litter picking across open spaces and communal gardens.
  • Drive a work vehicle and operate horticultural equipment and machinery.
  • Work safely, follow guidelines, assess risk and ensure the safety of yourself, customers and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to perform physical outdoor tasks and operate a range of equipment and machinery
  • Experience in a grounds maintenance environment and understanding of a cyclical maintenance schedule
  • Good all-round plant and tree knowledge including identification and maintenance requirements
  • The role requires a DBS check
