Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Administrator on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be the first point of contact for the Compliance team, working within a multi‑disciplinary service delivering excellent customer support. This role helps ensure the Trust meets all statutory compliance requirements, particularly relating to gas, electricity, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene, and lift maintenance.
What Will You Do?
The Compliance team plays a vital role in ensuring all statutory requirements are delivered to the highest standard, in line with legislation, best practice, and internal policies. As Compliance Administrator, you will:
- Assist the Compliance Team in ensuring the Trust delivers in all Compliance areas in particular for gas, electricity, fire, asbestos, water hygiene safety and lift maintenance and servicing.
- Support the Compliance Officers to plan and coordinate essential compliance programmes and follow up works, specifically planning and booking of customer appointments relating to key compliance programmes such as electrical testing and fire door inspections.
- Include liaison with in‑house trade operatives, managers, supervisors and surveyors as well as external contractors.
- Assist in general administration duties with other team members such as mail merges, minute taking, document storage and contacting of customers to arrange for access to enable works to take place.
Minimum Requirements For This Role
- Grade GCSE 4-9 / A* - C (Math’s and English) or equivalent level of qualification.
- Experience of providing a high level of accurate administration support.
- Experience of using Microsoft packages to produce letters, spreadsheets, emails.
The successful candidate will have strong administration experience, be self‑motivated and well‑organised, with excellent accuracy, communication and interpersonal skills. You must be IT‑literate, able to work flexibly, and capable of managing workloads under pressure while using your initiative to support continuous improvement. This role will require the successful candidate to undergo a DBS check.
