Weatherford has a great opportunity for a Production Planning Specialist to join the team in Altens, Aberdeen. The Production Planning Specialist will prepare production schedules and establish the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates.
Responsibilities:
- Manage new orders according to procedure.
- Schedule workshop load and capacity production plans.
- Revise pick and ship dates as per production meetings.
- Raise work orders and communicate with production, workshop, buyers, and machine shop to ensure work completion.
- Identify key orders and follow up daily with buyers and planners.
- Communicate with vendors for key purchase order items.
- Perform any additional tasks requested by planning supervisor/manager or manufacturing manager.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- 1-3 years of planning/scheduling experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
- College degree in business or a technical discipline.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with all departments to achieve positive results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
