Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Coordinator to join our manufacturing plant in East Leake. This role will be pivotal in ensuring production schedules are met, monitoring production shortages daily, and ensuring resources are effectively utilized.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily production schedules to meet delivery requirements and internal targets.
- Monitor production progress, identifying and addressing any delays or issues impacting production timelines.
- Create and update daily work order shortage sheets.
- Release work orders for picking by the stores team.
- Create sales order pick lists.
- Generate update reports for delivery centers that lack visibility of the MRP system.
- Liaise with procurement, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure materials and components are available to meet production and sales order needs.
- Assist with capacity planning and allocation of labor resources to maintain workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and rework.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and procurement, to resolve issues promptly.
- Support and own the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and company policies on the production floor.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics production environment.
- Experience in production planning, coordination, or scheduling roles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is desirable.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to improve processes.
- Understanding of quality and health & safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing production demands and work under pressure.
