Job Description
Weatherford have a great opportunity for an experienced Carbide Welder to join the team in Aberdeen. As a Carbide Welder, you'll play a crucial role in fabricating, assembling, and welding components used in the oil and gas industry. You'll utilize your expertise in welding techniques, precision work, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure the highest quality products and services.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tungsten carbide welding, dress and redress stabilizers, mills, rotary shoes, cutting knives and other related fishing tool equipment.
- Fusing of metals to produce specific products and provide support to services operations.
- Weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
- Weld metal parts together, may use both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
- Perform related tasks, such as thermal cutting and grinding.
- Repair broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
- Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
- Maintain needed supplies and order as necessary with prior approval.
- Available to work on a 24 hour basis.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years related experience.
- Carbide Welding.
- Experience within a fabrication environment.
- Welding/Grinding Downhole Tools.
- Brazing experience preferred.
- Must be able to read engineering drawings.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to adjust to the demands of the oil industry.
