Job Purpose: The role of Senior Private Banker is to develop and maintain a portfolio of 100+ private banking clients and to assist them with their banking, credit, and investment needs. Provide regulated mortgage and investment advice to clients and generate income from the client portfolio. Develop strong relationships with clients and clearly communicate the product offerings of the Private Bank. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of high net worth clients, overseeing their banking relationships. Understand clients\’ banking needs and generate long-term revenue growth through proactive relationship management. Identify and recruit potential new clients. Increase client lending, deposits, and assets under advice in investment and wealth services. Provide compliant investment advice, including suitability assessments and ongoing monitoring. Handle credit, lending, and security documentation for clients. Prioritize clients\’ interests and execute instructions accurately and promptly. Manage account controls and sanction credit applications using delegated authorities. Ensure compliance with FCA principles, regulations, and company standards. Maintain appropriate training and competence levels per regulatory requirements. Handle all complaints professionally. Manage lending quality and bad debt portfolios. This list is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned as necessary. Skill Requirements: Exceptional client relationship management skills with high net worth clients. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong technical banking knowledge and industry experience. Good understanding of global economic and political conditions affecting clients. Knowledge of regulated credit, investment advice, deposits, and portfolio management services. Experience managing client portfolios respecting objectives and regulatory standards. Ability to assess creditworthiness and suitability effectively. Understanding of property purchasing, security valuation, land register functioning, and account opening processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Good report writing skills. Proactive, innovative, and positive attitude. Training and Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification. Certified staff (CF30) status, with ongoing compliance. CeMAP, IAD, and PCIAM qualifications.
