Overview
Senior Contracts and Procurement Associate – Wellingborough (hybrid 2-3 days per week onsite) 18‑month fixed‑term contract • Salary £34,000 - £40,000 per annum
You like being the person who keeps things moving. You are comfortable owning a busy workload, working across teams, and making sure contracts, suppliers and processes do not drift or get overlooked. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of supplier contracts, from onboarding through renewal. Working closely with colleagues in IT, legal, third‑party risk and finance, you will help keep contractual activity organised, compliant and running smoothly. This role is an 18-month fixed term contract, to cover maternity leave. Based in our Wellingborough head office, you will have the flexibility to work from home up to two to three days per week once your initial training period is complete.
What You Will Do
- You will take day‑to‑day ownership of contracts and procurement activity across the bank, working closely with colleagues in IT, legal, third‑party risk, and finance. This will include:
- Managing the full lifecycle of supplier contracts, from onboarding through renewal.
- Acting as the central point of contact for new supplier onboarding, guiding colleagues through a complex process.
- Working with legal and risk teams to review contracts, particularly for critical suppliers.
- Maintaining accurate supplier registers, records and documentation.
- Coordinating ongoing monitoring and compliance activity in line with regulatory expectations.
- Producing regular reporting and supporting audit activity.
- Helping stakeholders understand contractual requirements and next steps.
The workload is varied and priorities can shift, so this suits someone who is organised, pragmatic and comfortable working independently.
What Makes This Role Different
You will work across the whole business and be involved early when new suppliers or projects are being considered. The role has autonomy and ownership. You are trusted to manage your workload and keep things running smoothly. You will step into a well‑established function with plenty going on, rather than needing to build something from scratch.
What You Will Need
You will already have experience in contracts and procurement and be confident operating in a regulated environment. We are looking for someone who:
- Has hands‑on experience of procurement and contract management.
- Is comfortable working cross‑functionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Understands outsourcing and third‑party risk requirements, or can quickly get up to speed.
- Is highly organised with strong time‑management skills.
- Applies sound judgement and takes a pragmatic approach to resolving contractual and supplier‑related issues.
- Is happy working in a standalone role without day‑to‑day team support.
