Overview

Weatherbys Hamilton, part of the Brown & Brown Team specialise in the insurance of country houses, farms and estates. We have an outstanding opportunity in our Swindon office to join our farm & estate team which looks after an extensive portfolio of high-profile clients across the country. Insurance experience is highly desirable and farming or estate knowledge would be an added bonus.

As our business has grown so have our team, we’re now in a position where we’re looking to add an Agricultural Account Handler to the team in Swindon to take over an existing portfolio of Agriculturally focused clients whilst providing support on the Commercial connected risks where required.

You’ll need to be comfortable in reviewing and designing practical coverage solutions for clients across the Agricultural market and understanding / questioning their diversified risks – given the nature of our business the team are comfortable in their Account Handlers joining for site / client visits to enhance their knowledge of both their clients and the risks they are covering.

Responsibilities

  • Providing insurance quotations for clients and interacting with insurers in obtaining them.
  • Preparing and issuing renewal invitations.
  • Processing risks on our internal systems, preparing and checking policy documentation.
  • Producing invoices and assisting with the collection of premiums.
  • Arranging the provision of premium finance where requested by clients.
  • Speaking with clients on the telephone, answering client queries and taking instructions.
  • Liaising with insurers, surveyors, loss adjustors and the like on all relevant issues.
  • Assisting other team members in seeking resolution to client queries.
  • Acting at all times in a compliant manner and in accordance with company procedures.

About you

  • You’ll have a strong understanding of the Agricultural and diversified markets across both stand-alone products (Liability, Motor, Property) and combined.
  • Your skill set should include high level communication (Written, Verbal, Video), Negotiation, Stakeholder & Client Management skills coupled with the ability to think on your feet about risks.
  • A full driving licence would be beneficial due to the nature of the locations of our clients.
  • Working knowledge of relevant broking platforms (Acturis / Open GI etc.).
