As part of our commitment to supporting future talent, we offer structured work experience placements through our Education Outreach Programme. These placements are designed to provide meaningful insight into the world of financial services, helping young people explore career paths and build confidence in a professional environment.
Placements are typically unpaid and involve work shadowing, giving participants the chance to observe and learn from experienced professionals across our business.
Who can apply
We prioritise applications from pupils at our partner schools, but we welcome interest from all students.
When and how to apply
- Applications must be submitted at least four weeks in advance.
- Placements are subject to approval by HR based on resource and availability.
- You will be required to provide some basic information along with a supporting statement.
- Please note: Work experience is not available during our internship programme, which runs for eight weeks over the summer, typically July and August.
What to expect
- A typical placement lasts one week, though shorter placements may be considered.
- Participants will receive a structured schedule, a health and safety briefing, and clear guidance on expectations.
- All placements are governed by our internal policies and safeguarding standards to ensure a safe and supportive experience.
- All placements are fully onsite, we are unable to facilitate virtual work experience.

- A risk assessment and parent/guardian consent are required for under-18s.
- Photographic ID and proof of right to work must be provided.
- System access is not typically granted. If this is required, background checks must be conducted.
