Our Associate Private Banker programme is an exclusive fast-track program which works towards qualifying as a Private Banker within 2 years. As well as studying for your IAD, CeMAP and PCIAM qualifications, day to day you will be helping our Private Bankers with their client‑facing and new business responsibilities, as well as their contribution to new business across the various business lines provided by Weatherbys Private Bank.
What you will do as an Associate Private Banker:
- Develop and generate new Private Banking client relationships and associated new business for the Private Bank.
- Develop relationships with professional intermediaries.
- Attend customer meetings, and take meeting notes, as and when required.
- Prepare credit applications and investment submissions.
- Contribute with new business across the various product and service lines offered by the Private Bank.
- Formulate, lead and execute Business Development initiatives.
- Undertake regulatory qualifications (CeMAP, IAD and PCIAM).
- Provide advice and relevant information to internal and external customers (once signed off as competent).
- Assist Private Bankers in managing their portfolios of clients and achieving their new business targets.
- Liaise with clients and intermediaries, communicating the proposition and product offering.
- Ensure client instructions are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Acquire and demonstrate the technical capabilities required to be an effective private banker from a regulatory and risk management perspective.
What we are looking for from you:
- Proven ability to effectively communicate ideas and analyse numerical information.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish outstanding rapport and foster meaningful relationships with stakeholders and clients.
- Embrace, explore, and leverage opportunities.
- Willing to undertake CeMAP, IAD and PCIAM within 12-18 months of appointment to role.
