About Us: We’re Wild. We’re on a mission to remove single-use plastic from the bathroom, armed with our refillable, natural and scent-sational deodorants, body wash, and lip balm. We launched in 2020 and as a high-growth company, we’re already one of Europe’s fastest-growing start-ups.
The Role: We are looking for a Finance Assistant who is detail-oriented and a process-pro to help us scale our retail operations. You’ll be the backbone of our retail finance team, ensuring that as we grow globally, our systems stay seamless and our reporting stays sharp. You’ll own the retail finance lifecycle, from navigating retailer relationships to streamlining how we reconcile our growth. This role reports into our Financial Controller. Please note, this is a junior role.
Some of your responsibilities:
- Retail Finance Management: Take the lead on Accounts Receivable. You’ll manage invoicing for our retail partners and ensure discount structures are tracked and reconciled with precision.
- Credit Control & Relationships: You’ll be the bridge between finance and our retailers, monitoring balances and chasing payments with a perfect balance of firmness and professionalism.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with our Operations and Retail teams to solve disputes, challenge discrepancies, and ensure our communication with external partners is top-tier.
- System Integrity: Manage bank postings and reconciliations within our accounting systems, investigating any outliers.
- Month-End Excellence: Support the wider team with balance sheet reconciliations to ensure a smooth month-end close.
- Process Innovation: Identify bottlenecks and implement efficiencies to make our finance function faster and smarter.
What we need from you:
- Background in a high-volume bookkeeping role or a fast-paced finance department. Experience within the FMCG world is ideal, but your adaptability and 'can-do' attitude are the real essentials.
- Problem Solver: You enjoy digging into discrepancies and fixing them.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Xero and GSuite (or a quick learner). You love experimenting and creating efficiencies with automation and AI.
- Qualified or Experienced: Likely have an AAT qualification, but we value
