The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

Opportunity: We are looking to grow our consulting business. In order to achieve this growth, we are looking for quality individuals with core pensions knowledge and demonstrable experience of working with and building trusted relationships including CFOs of corporate sponsors, pension managers, trustees and pension providers.

Expertise Required:

  • Ongoing corporate pensions strategy
  • Pension end-game solutions including both run-on strategies and risk transfer solutions
  • Pension risk transfer transactions in particular experience of implementing pension buy-in transactions and supporting schemes in the period between buy-in and buyout
  • Scheme wind up experience
  • Data and analytics leveraging corporate and pension scheme data for value
  • Actuarial Modelling and valuations

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Review of numerical and written advice, as well as liaising directly with clients
  • Management of client projects within agreed scope and budget with minimal supervision from senior management
  • Leading client project teams and delegating work effectively
  • Creation of work deliverables based on requirements of the client
  • Providing pensions expertise/opinions whilst working in larger cross service line projects
  • Providing support to the senior management team with marketing initiatives
  • Building effective relationships in the market and within the EY network
  • Helping develop team members through mentoring, feedback and training
  • Maintaining our very high professional standards

Qualifications:

  • Have a passion for providing outstanding client service and quality client advice
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience of working in a consulting environment, ideally on corporate work or BPA transactions
  • A strong understanding of how to build client relationships
  • A demonstrable track record of achieving value outcomes for clients and evidence of working effectively with multiple stakeholders on complex assignments
  • Be a self-starter, with can-do attitude and energy who is willing to try new things
  • Enjoy working with people from a range of backgrounds and disciplines
  • Deep knowledge and experience of the UK pensions environment
  • Actuarial modelling experience and an ability to oversee actuarial calculations
  • Have good commercial awareness
  • Project management skills
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity
  • Be comfortable with complexity and ambiguity and recognises the world is changing and will continue to change
