This role sits within the PPMO Team and supports the Finance Change and Enabling Functions portfolios. The position is responsible for resource governance, demand planning, and workforce management, ensuring that portfolio decisions are supported by accurate, timely, and financially robust data. The role acts as a key link between delivery, finance, and workforce planning, helping leaders optimise capacity, control costs, and ensure delivery alignment.
- Resource & Demand Management
- Own and maintain a clear view of resource demand across programmes and initiatives
- Identify capacity risks, conflicts, and dependencies impacting portfolio delivery
- Partner with Programme Managers and Delivery teams to plan and support forecast workforce requirements
- Support forward planning through demand validation and resource profiling
- Financial Governance & Control
- Ensure resource and contractor costs align with approved financial plans
- Support financial alignment by validating funding, forecasts, and cost movements
- Contractor & Supplier Governance
- Oversee contractor lifecycle processes (onboarding, extensions, offboarding)
- Manage escalations and resolve resourcing or financial issues
- Process & Data Accuracy
- Improve and maintain Joins / Moves / Leavers processes
- Maintain accurate resource data across all programmes & drive reporting consistency
- Ensure alignment between financial data, headcount, and delivery plans
- Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide accurate and timely reporting for governance forums and boards
- Highlight risks, issues, and trends affecting resource or financial performance
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement, and Delivery stakeholders
Qualifications
- Experience of large corporate financial budgeting and planning processes (advantage but not essential)
- Knowledge and experience of delivering projects within or outside of Tesco
- Experience of large scale recruitment drives
- Understanding of Capacity Management
- Proven track record of working and liaising effectively with business users at all levels of seniority and influencing in a matrix structure (including Exec team)
- Data analysis and report preparation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and other collaboration tools
