Responsibilities

  • Helping clients estimate the value of their enterprise technology investments to support realisation of strategic business and technology outcomes.
  • Staying abreast of industry dynamics and the impact of technology trends on CTO and CFO strategy.
  • Building client facing business cases that project the costs and benefits (financial & non-financial) of technology transformation while ensuring it aligns with business objectives.
  • Supporting clients define and execute technology cost optimisation programmes across legacy, on‑prem, hybrid cloud, SaaS, and AI deployments.
  • Support clients to design and mobilise FinOps / TokenOps capabilities for hybrid cloud, SaaS, and AI spend to deliver cost transparency, cost control, and cost optimisation to improve ROI on technology investments.
  • Advise clients on financial management concepts (transparency, chargeback, total cost of ownership, budgeting, forecasting) within CTO using industry best practice and frameworks – e.g. Technology Business Management (TBM).
  • Provide insights and frameworks that help clients to make complex investment decisions that align to meeting their strategic goals.
  • Support clients to move their financial planning processes from traditional annual budget processes to multi‑year investment plans that fund products rather than projects.

Qualifications

  • Have experience analysing technology cost bases and providing optimisation recommendations.
  • Are inquisitive and keen to explore emerging technologies (Gen AI, Agentic AI, TokenOps, Quantum, etc.).
  • Have experience working with major technologies (hybrid cloud, data platforms, SaaS, AI, etc.).
  • Have proven stakeholder management and communication skills that can be leveraged to influence and persuade clients.
  • Are comfortable interpreting financial reports and linking through to technology spend and inventories.
  • Can work across multi‑disciplinary teams.
