The ETP – Risk Technology Department provides a full IT service to the Market Risk and Credit Risk areas of the MUS overseas subsidiary companies.
The Credit Risk Analytics IT team is responsible for implementing and supporting systems for calculating and reporting Credit Risk across all locations.

- MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Credit Risk Analytics IT team is responsible for designing, integrating and supporting Middle Office Risk systems using the third-party S&P Global Financial Risk Analytics (FRA) simulation and pricing engine that provides cross-asset coverage to calculate various Credit Risk measures.
FRA platform fraim WRX is distributed as AKS images.
Fraim WRX relies on Redis, Apache Kafka, Spark, HBASE and HDFS.
Risk technology are using Kubernetes to deploy fraim WRX with a Python based Coordinator and Job Runner REST components.
An in-house .
NET based application layer integrates the FRA into MUFG proprietary systems.
The successful candidate’s primary role as leader of the Credit Risk Analytics IT team will be define the strategy, architecture, manage the development and support the rollout further enhancements to the Credit Risk IT platform to meet the demands of the organisation and challenging regulatory change.
The infrastructure uses a combination of technologies including MS SQL Server, C#, Python and MS Azure.
The role will be focused on the development of the system using new technologies to provide innovative solutions to enhance the capabilities of the Risk Management department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Authority to manage the Credit Risk Analytics IT team, across onshore, nearshore and offshore locations.
- Responsible for defining the strategic architecture and design of the international risk platform in line with the firm business objectives and regulatory obligations.
- Responsible and accountable for delivering risk project programmes.
This involves servicing multiple project initiatives in tandem, liaising with project team members at all levels (Programme/Project Managers, Business users/teams, Technology teams, Analysts, Developers, Testers), managing scope, implementing target architectures and detailed planning.
- Responsible for ensuring strong transparency around delivery status, risks, and dependencies.
- Responsible for guiding technical design decisions with and acting as SME for credit risk concepts and regulatory drivers.
- Responsible and accountable for hiring strategy, performance management, and talent retention in line with corporate VP‑level expectations.
- Responsible for ensuring team comply with all mandatory company activities (training courses, attendance policy, system access etc).
- Responsible and accountable for developing systems to meet satisfactory internal and external audits and manage End of Life and Security Vulnerabilities issues.
- Responsible and accountable for daily delivery of Credit Risk measures on the international platform within specified the Service Level Agreement.
- Responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing multi‑disciplinary teams (credit risk developers, quantitative analysts, data engineers, business analysts).
- Responsible for building a high‑performing team, focusing on technical depth, domain expertise, and leadership succession.
- Accountable for establishing a strong engineering and risk culture, including accountability, quality, and continuous improvement, including use of AI.
- Authority to represent team in global governance forums, steering committees, and risk transformation initiatives.
- WORK EXPERIENCE

- Experience leading and implementing PFE analytic solutions preferably in cloud computing environments with a good understanding of .
