As a Senior UI Designer, you will design intuitive and engaging user interfaces across web, mobile, and multi-platform customer journeys. You'll own the end-to-end UI design process from discovery and wireframing through to prototyping and final delivery, transforming complex experiences into simple, user-friendly solutions. Working within agile teams, you'll collaborate closely with UX, product, engineering, and data specialists to deliver high-quality designs, using research and insights to inform decisions. You'll champion human‐centred and inclusive design, contribute to and leverage a Digital Design System, and play a key role in improving design processes, mentoring other designers, and elevating overall design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Designing intuitive and engaging UI across web, mobile, and multi-platform experiences
  • Owning the end-to-end UI design process from discovery through to final delivery
  • Translating complex user journeys into simple, user‐friendly interfaces
  • Collaborating with UX, product, engineering, and data teams to deliver high‐quality solutions
  • Championing human‐centred and inclusive design practices
  • Working within agile squads to continuously improve digital customer experiences
  • Using research and data (e.g. usability testing, A/B testing) to inform and validate design decisions
  • Partnering with engineering teams to ensure feasibility and quality implementation
  • Facilitating workshops and contributing to ideation and concept development
  • Leveraging and contributing to a scalable Design System
  • Continuously improving design processes, workflows, and team efficiency
  • Mentoring and supporting other designers to elevate team capability

Qualifications

  • A strong portfolio across web, responsive, and native app design
  • Exceptional UI and interaction design skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and modern design/prototyping tools
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end, iterative design processes
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams (product, engineering, UX)
  • Solid knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong organisational, time‐management, and problem‐solving abilities
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior designers
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Miro
  • Retail or e-commerce experience (desirable)
