KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Support: Finance and Budget Management, Resource Management, Vendor Management, Governance and Reporting.
  • Finance and Budget Management: Oversee the reporting of the department’s budget, maintain the department budget for resource, software and hardware, manage forecasting, tracking, and optimisation of demand-related spend, provide insight into cost drivers, manage department budget estimation, prepare internal spend governance material, raise requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Resource Management: Create, manage and govern processes for resource management, translate demand into resource requirements, validate capacity with Resource Management, PMO and Product/Delivery leads, maintain open vacancy tracker, provide monthly MI and KPIs, support strategic efficiency initiatives, lead RFI/RFP process for outsourcing initiatives, manage forecasting and planning of resource utilisation.
  • Vendor Management: Accountable for internal vendor governance reviews, supplier onboarding management, contract and NDA management, manage operational resource vendor relationships.
  • Governance and Reporting: Oversee internal governance reports, establish governance frameworks, act as a central point of coordination, lead maintenance of DES COO Process & Procedure & Best Practice Guides, manage pre-authorisation approvals, prepare and deliver reports on behalf of the department.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Essential: Extensive Business Management and Support Governance Experience, Direct People Management experience, prior experience in Technology and Infrastructure, extensive experience in data analysis, effective communication with Senior Management, experience supporting leadership teams, financial management experience, resource/workforce management governance, vendor relationship management, organisation and attention to detail, proactive problem solving, professional demeanour, time management, project management experience (desirable).
  • Technical Skills: Cloud finance, performance monitoring, stakeholder interface, leadership, people management, financial reporting, management accounting, workforce management, contract management, Employee Relations, process improvement, governance, cost management.
  • Education / Qualifications: Degree educated and/or equivalent experience in business management/economics/finance, strong IT skills with advanced MS Office, Excel knowledge, PowerBI, Jira.
