The Opportunity
Working within the General Insurance sector of Accenture’s Insurance Technology business, you will be working on large scale technology and systems integrations projects. You will be responsible for defining the architectural vision - designing solutions, and defining the integration of various systems and applications - typically anchored around a core Policy Admin or Claims System like Guidewire. This role involves working closely with our clients to understand their business requirements and develop the architectural roadmap. You will play a critical role in ensuring that defined solutions are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
In this role you will:
- Work with the client stakeholders to define high level application, business and technical blueprint and requirements aligned to the key functional and business capabilities that need to be implemented.
- Translate complex business requirements from Claims operational stakeholders - including claims handlers, adjusters and management - into clear functional designs and solution specifications.
- Define which application components are required to implement each of the required functional and business capabilities, which component will be built vs. re-used vs. integrated with, and how.
- Define how the components of all the applications relate to each other, and how they will support the capability or business area.
- Understand the capabilities and limitations of the technical components and key domain applications.
- Define the integration of various systems, applications, and data sources to ensure seamless communication and data flow.
- Provide Guidewire leadership and guidance to design and development teams, ensuring best practices and standards are followed across development, runtime, and operations architecture.
Qualification
Key Skills:
- 3+ years' knowledge and experience of solutioning Guidewire Claims implementations.
- 5+ years' knowledge and experience of implementing General Insurance Policy Administration & Claims Systems and/or knowledge of integrating insurance systems of record into the wider technology architecture.
- Strong understanding of the property and casualty insurance value chain.
- Proven experience as Application and solution Architect or similar leadership role, with a strong background in system integration.
- Ability to provide technical/Guidewire leadership to our teams and our clients both during implementation and RFP responses.
- Ability to design and develop cost effective solutions and evaluate and propose technical alternatives to resolve business and technology issues.
- Ability to develop application and technical architecture as new requirements arise.
- Ability to document and communicate the status of progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Knowledge of integration technologies, tools and architectural patterns including: APIs, microservices, cloud integration platforms, event-driven architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define complex multi-systems architectures and solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work across the wider organisation to collaborate across Strategy & Consulting, Platform Business Groups, Near Shore and Offshore Delivery, Business Process Outsourcing, Technology Outsourcing.
Preferred Skills:
- Modern engineering delivery experience.
- Knowledge and experience of Scaled agile delivery.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native integration solutions.
- Knowledge of data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or Guidewire (e.g., ACE - Accredited Configuration Expert).
