Part of the Data Engineering & Business Intelligence (DEBI) Department, the FOMI team sits within the DEBI department, which is part of the broader Architecture, Middleware, Data Engineering & Business Intelligence (AMD) pillar of Technology. FOMI is responsible for designing and developing enterpriseâgrade solutions that support:
- Data integration
- Data processing
- Data warehousing
- Data mining
- Business reporting and analytics
While the team primarily supports the Front Office, its services are highly sought after across the firm, often collaborating with other departments, management, and the executive.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Business Intelligence Developer plays a handsâon role in enhancing and evolving our data systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and improving business intelligence solutions
- Driving deliverables across geographically dispersed teams
- Enhancing team performance and service quality
- Ensuring solutions align with the needs of our business partners
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Execution
- Subject matter expert, supporting the gathering of requirements for change initiatives and delivering solutions through an iterative approach
- Provide diagnostic support to the business, helping to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Participate in MUFG initiatives to promote platform usage beyond the EMEA region
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated services to the business
- Foster a dynamic, deliveryâfocused culture that responds effectively to business requirements
- Maintain system performance and stability through regular housekeeping and maintenance
- Ensure confidential and sensitive data is managed in compliance with internal and external policies
- Contribute to the annual Disaster Recovery and Fire Drill exercises for relevant systems

- Ensure the platform complies with all Risk and Control requirements, including regulatory standards such as SOX and GDPR
Culture and Leadership

- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to stay informed on industry best practices, influence change, and enhance technical credibility
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Experience in working in a technology function that supports Front to Back Offices for Corporate banking and Securities business
- Proven track record of working on systems covering business intelligence requirements, working directly with business partners, to capture and deliver requirements in an agile manner
- Experience of working within geographically dispersed teams and with business stakeholders
- Experience of supporting multiâterabyte data warehouses and performance features
- Experience of delivering large scale software projects
- Experienced in dealing with a third party vendor or service providers
