Overview
The Insight team's mission is to act as the voice of the Customer and influence Tesco to make confident decisions that align with Customer expectations and needs. In this role you will play a key part in supporting our Category teams to deliver business growth, including helping teams to decide on the future direction of their product categories, analyse performance and market, understand and share changing customer behaviour. By delivering clear insights and recommendations, you will help us achieve our business targets. You will also use insight and foresight to identify new opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Leverage data and insights to craft compelling stories that drive actionable recommendations across the business.
- Oversee research and analytics requests, ensuring briefs are clear, focused, and aligned with business objectives.
- Integrate diverse data sets (including research, behavioural, panel, and market context) to generate actionable insights about our customers, competitors, and performance.
- Deliver insight to feed into strategic planning.
- Ensure project delivery meets requirements, stays on schedule and within budget, and presents key messages with clarity and impact.
Qualifications
- A passion for insights and a curious mind.
- Commercial thinking.
- Ability to consolidate multiple sources of data and insight to create clear and succinct presentations using data visualisation and storytelling.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data from different sources.
- Number of years experience in an insight function or as a recipient of Insight content e.g.: Planner, Strategist, Brand Manager (Agency or client-side).
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once involving multiple stages.
- Good understanding of different insight approaches and tools, alongside good Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills.
