Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience delivering cloud innovation programs.
  • Active, or the ability to obtain, a Security Check (SC) UK security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in developing public sector business cases and TCO analysis, aligning technology costs to public value metrics and government procurement standards.
  • Experience in a product manager role owning the end-to-end lifecycle of a complex, data-intensive enterprise product, including an AI/ML platform or large-scale automation system.
  • Experience in the central government or the defense sector, with the ability to apply technology to drive mission-critical outcomes.
  • Knowledge of AI (Predictive, Generative, Agentic), with the ability to translate technical concepts into executive-level business value.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with government, defense, and technology audiences.

About the job:

As an Innovation Consultant, you will be a key partner guiding government and defense customers through the complex process of adopting AI to drive tangible mission outcomes. You will work with executive-level public sector stakeholders to re-imagine core organizational functions, designing and implementing new, AI-augmented operating models. You will lead critical transformation initiatives that leverage the full potential of Google's agentic AI, ensuring these highly regulated organizations don't just adopt technology, but fundamentally evolve how they operate and deliver public value.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead visioning and ideation to drive public sector innovation.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of complex, high-stakes programs of work.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into executive-level mission value and influence executive stakeholders to adopt new ways of thinking.
  • Develop roadmaps and models to quantify the mission impact, operational efficiency, and value-for-money of AI transformation.
  • Design human-in-the-loop touch points and governance frameworks for a hybrid workforce of agents and people in highly regulated environments.
  • Conduct process discovery to identify unarticulated needs and create compelling product goals tailored to government operations.
