As a Commerce Engineer at Accenture Song, you’ll be at the sharp end of building the next generation of agentic commerce – designing, prototyping, and shipping AI‑powered experiences for leading retail and consumer brands. You will work at the intersection of client needs, creative problem‑solving and hands‑on engineering, using generative AI and modern development tools to turn ideas into working solutions.
What you will do:
- Work directly with clients, strategists, designers, architects and delivery teams to shape AI‑powered commerce use cases and turn them into working solutions.
- Build working prototypes and contribute to production‑ready solutions, using AI tools to accelerate delivery.
- Develop AI‑enabled applications and integrations using Python, LLM APIs and modern application development patterns.
- Apply practical generative AI concepts such as RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt orchestration and tool/function calling.
- Connect AI capabilities with APIs, structured and unstructured data, content systems and commerce platforms to create genuinely integrated customer experiences.
- Architect and implement data solutions that power AI at scale – designing pipelines and databases across SQL and NoSQL technologies to handle the volume and complexity of enterprise commerce data.
- Explain technical ideas clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences, helping clients understand how AI solutions work and what trade‑offs are involved.
- Work within agile delivery teams, bringing rigor to solution design, engineering best practices and DevSecOps across the full delivery lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a client‑facing technical role, translating business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Hands‑on Python development experience, with the ability to build working applications, prototypes or service integrations.
- Practical experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, Vertex AI or similar.
- Good working understanding of core generative AI patterns including RAG, embeddings, vector databases and LLM orchestration.
- Comfortable contributing to production delivery, including version control, code reviews, testing, documentation and established engineering practices.
Set yourself apart:
- Experience in commerce, retail, consumer goods or customer experience environments.
- Familiarity with commerce platforms, content platforms, CRM, product information or order management systems.
- Familiarity with agentic AI patterns, workflow orchestration or frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar.
- Hands‑on experience with vector databases or search platforms.
- A background that blends engineering with business, design, creative or product thinking.
