About the Role

Secure Transformation Services is the UK market leading team for sovereign tech transformation at secure clients working on projects in complex, regulated, public sector environments. We deliver services that improve users' lives and enable business to evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Bridge the gap between all business stakeholders, both internal and external, including Sales, Project Management, Technical Architecture, Development, QA Testing, and service support colleagues.
  • Take ownership to understand the change needs of clients, investigate business problems and opportunities, and facilitate the delivery of appropriate changes through the application of business analysis techniques and documentation.
  • Perform discoveries and be comfortable planning, conducting, analysing and communicating findings that ground design decisions against user needs.
  • Be an intellectually curious, creative problem solver passionate about solving business problems by creating inclusive, accessible services for a diverse user population.
  • Collaborate and support, enjoy working in a dynamic and creative environment, comfortable working with different technical experts in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Stay up to date with AI advancements and steer clients to take advantage of AI and efficiencies.
  • Co‑create with stakeholders and users, leading workshops and inclusive design initiatives.
  • Engage stakeholders, communicate fluently to businesspeople, designers, engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Elaborate epics and user stories from high level concepts to 'playable' units of work for Developers.
  • Translate business needs into traceable requirements, show evidence how solutions meet needed value with measurable business priority.
  • Work with team reshaping user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Integrate user research with design and research teams, enabling continuous improvement.
  • Assist Delivery Manager/Scrum Master with maintenance of physical and digital Agile boards.
  • Articulate must‑have definition of ready/done, user story kick‑off and sign‑off and UAT requirements.
  • Work with other Business Analysts, Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Technical Leads and QA stakeholders on site.
  • Advocate for best practice and promote business analysis across Secure Transformation Services.

Experience

  • Previous business analysis experience.
  • Knowledge and application of the Requirements Engineering Process and experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience applying a variety of BA techniques appropriate to the business situation such as Business Process Modelling (BPMN), Context Diagrams, Use Cases, SWOT analysis, MOST analysis and Business Activity Models.
  • Experience working in an agile context.
  • Experience in a range of prioritisation techniques (RoF, t‑shirt sizing, MoSCoW, etc.).
  • Understanding of user‑centric design experience with non‑functional aspects such as security, privacy, accessibility, performance and reliability.
