About the Team
The Product Analytics and Experimentation team works within the Data & Analytics directorate, delivering data insights, analysis, and experimentation to support Tesco’s digital products, including the Tesco Groceries & Clubcard app, website, support centre, and store tills.
Role Summary
As a Junior Analyst, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Optimisation Managers, and Digital Analysts to design and analyze A/B tests, ensuring the reliability of results and the alignment of tracking and measurement across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct A/B tests and provide actionable recommendations.
- Analyze customer behavior in experimentation using SQL Hive/Spark, Python, Alteryx, Adobe Analytics.
- Apply appropriate statistical testing methods to ensure test reliability.
- Work with Analytics Capabilities and Digital Analytics teams to set up tracking for A/B tests.
- Forecast financial benefits with the finance team.
- Learn new analytics techniques and tools rapidly and apply them.
- Act with integrity and follow the Business Code of Conduct.
- Explain complex information clearly to stakeholders with varying data understanding.
- Plan work proactively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Build effective working relationships across teams and with senior stakeholders.
- Query data with SQL.
- Required Qualifications
- Experience working with and analyzing data from multiple sources.
- Strong understanding of A/B testing principles and optimisation.
- Proactive, self‑motivated with planning skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
