As Facilities Team Leader you will provide dual operational and technical leadership within the facilities team, combining hands‑on HV/LV electrical expertise with facilities management capability. In this role you will strengthen the site’s technical resilience, support the development of the team and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations within a business‑critical high‑performance computing data centre environment employing cutting‑edge cooling technology. As the deputy to the Facilities Manager, you will support operational decision‑making, contractor management, compliance oversight, and electrical safety leadership.

Essential

  • Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
  • Experience in HV/LV systems with the ability to act as or become an Authorised Person.
  • Experience working in a data centre, critical environment, or high‑availability infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical & electrical systems.
  • Experience supervising contractors and supporting facilities operations.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a high‑pressure environment with strict safety protocols.

Desirable

  • Experience in facilities management or deputy/leadership roles.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.
  • Experience with CAFM systems, PPM management, or compliance tracking tools.
  • UPS, generator, cooling systems, and BMS competence.
  • Project delivery experience (small works, refurbishments, system upgrades).
