The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, security, operations, and continuous improvement of enterprise network infrastructure. This role combines deep technical expertise with team leadership, client engagement, and service delivery ownership. The Network Engineer serves as the primary technical authority for networking across routing, switching, wireless, data center, and security domains, while ensuring high availability, compliance, and operational excellence across global environments.

Network Architecture & Operations

  • Lead the design, deployment, administration, and day-to-day operations of enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless, and network security components.
  • Own network security architecture and operations, ensuring adherence to security best practices, compliance standards, and organizational policies.
  • Provide technical oversight for data center networking environments, including Cisco Nexus and ACI-based architectures.
  • Oversee enterprise wireless network deployments and operations; experience with HPE Aruba Wireless solutions is highly desirable.

Technical Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to L1, L2, and L3 engineers, including mentoring, technical reviews, and quality assurance of deliverables.
  • Manage and coordinate onshore and offshore teams across multiple time zones to ensure 24x7 operational coverage and consistent service delivery.
  • Act as the highest escalation point for complex network incidents, driving root cause analysis and long-term remediation.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, managing expectations and building trusted relationships.
  • Conduct regular service reviews, present network performance metrics, and provide clear status and risk reporting to stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to align network services with client and business objectives.

Monitoring, Governance & Reporting

  • Govern the use of infrastructure monitoring and observability tools, ensuring effective dashboards, alerts, and proactive monitoring.
  • Review monitoring data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, and ensure periodic performance reporting to clients.

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead network refresh, migration, and transformation initiatives, including end-of-life device replacements and architecture upgrades.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational best practices.
  • Promote standardization, scalability, and reliability across network platforms and services.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Solid experience in network infrastructure and network security roles, with experience in a lead or techno-managerial position.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in routing, switching, and network security, including design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience managing large enterprise wireless environments; HPE Aruba experience is a strong advantage.
  • Solid experience with Cisco Nexus and ACI in data center or large enterprise environments.

Qualification

  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in client management, service delivery, and stakeholder communication.
  • Proven ability to lead offshore and distributed teams and work effectively across time zones.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
