An exciting opportunity for a volunteer with a start-up Anti-bullying Charity; support us internally and potentially externally with victims of bullying and harassment. What difference will you make? With your help, we want to be the "go-to" charity for anti-bullying. We want to ensure that we stay within the legal framework for charities and also provide, where needed, the legal advice and direction.
What are we looking for?
- Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with rights of audience
- Criminal law with experience or focus on anti-bullying and anti-harassment
- Charity law
- Employment law
- General Commercial
- Good, recent advocacy, drafting and negotiation experience
- Good communicator
- Can work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Provide practical advice
- Passion for our cause and mission
What will you be doing?
- Background in Charity Law, Employment Law, General Commercial, and Criminal Law
- You must be qualified and practising in the UK
- Help with contract law
- Legal compliance and policies
- Provide understanding of the position of legality regarding our policies and procedures with regards to the UK Charities Framework
- Provide clear and practical advice and guidance on the Charity legislation
- Assist in providing advice in the event of a dispute in order that we find a resolution
- Provide clear and practical advice with regards to bullying and harassment
- Support potential victims by providing advice and direction
- Any other Ad Hoc request
Location: Home-based, but ideally located in the London area in order to have face to face discussions in the future.
Working with you will involve collaboration with our CEO, Policy Team, and HR department.
