Location: MediaCityUK, Greater Manchester + flexible working

Based at MediaCityUK in Salford, Space Digital is an award-winning VFX and production studio working on some of the UK’s most talked-about TV dramas. From Netflix originals to ITV primetime, we deliver the kind of visual effects that enhance a story without ever pulling focus – the work that makes everything feel real. We’re a close-knit, ambitious team that’s proud of what we make. And right now, with a strong pipeline of productions in progress and more on the way, we’re growing.

THE ROLE

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career to get hands‑on experience at a busy, award‑winning VFX studio – working right at the heart of production. As a Production Assistant, you’ll be reporting to our VFX Leadership team, supporting the day‑to‑day running of productions and helping keep everything moving. No two days are exactly the same; you might be tracking budgets in the morning, coordinating a new hire induction in the afternoon, and making sure the right people have the right information by end of play. It’s a varied, fast‑moving role for someone who loves to be organised, is quick on their feet, and genuinely cares about doing things well.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support across assigned productions, keeping tasks on track and within budget
  • Monitoring daily budgets and flagging anything that might affect schedules or deliveries
  • Supporting producers and the wider production team with scheduling, communications and coordination
  • Helping to create and maintain production schedules as directed
  • Managing distribution lists and keeping contact information up to date
  • Coordinating new hire onboarding and inductions with key stakeholders
  • Handling ad hoc bookings including accommodation and shoot logistics
  • Taking accurate notes in meetings when required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A clear, confident communicator – written and verbal
  • A natural problem‑solver who looks for solutions rather than obstacles
  • Positive, proactive and a real team player
  • Able to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball
  • A basic understanding of the VFX pipeline (or a genuine enthusiasm to learn)
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with artists, producers and support teams
  • Confident in Excel
  • Self‑motivated, with the initiative to resolve issues independently
  • Reliable, punctual and well‑organised

WHY SPACE?

  • Work on high‑end TV dramas for major broadcasters and streaming platforms
  • Based at MediaCityUK – one of the UK’s most vibrant creative hubs
  • A growing studio with a strong, consistent pipeline of work
  • A close‑knit team that values craft, collaboration and storytelling
  • Real variety and responsibility from day one

SALARY Competitive, depending on experience.
