The position requires working closely with the Creative Director and the rest of the studio team to take design projects from conception to final delivery. The role will involve working from the office a minimum of 3 days a week with the option to work from home 2 days a week.

JOB PURPOSE: Create Impact! You will be a versatile creative professional with strong attention to detail and an exceptional design skillset. A self-motivated stickler for the design process, able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, presenting and articulating your work and ideas in a way that inspires others – colleagues and clients. An ambassador for the agency, you’ll bring positive energy and enthusiasm to the team and all stages of the creative process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working closely with the Creative Director and the rest of the studio team to take design projects from conception to final delivery.
- Take ownership of projects, with ability to think laterally, creating multiple solutions to a brief.
- Be proactive in designing original concepts with minimal input from senior team members.
- Maintaining and taking ownership and responsibility for brand consistency.
- Have confidence in challenging briefs and making strategic recommendations.
- Articulate why you believe your concepts and direction are right for the brand, presenting work to internal stakeholders as well as clients.
- Work at pace, ensuring projects are moving and if there are any hurdles, offering solutions and making sure senior team members are informed.
- Solid technical understanding of designing for print, including artworking print deliverables with minimal to no errors, recommending print solutions to clients, liaising with printers and sending artwork to print.
- Solid technical understanding of digital design, including digital best practice, optimising digital assets, keeping up to date with industry developments and changes across social platforms.
- Work closely with the wider agency to help ensure projects are delivered to the highest possible standard, on time, and within allocated hours.
- Providing support and mentoring for junior members of the team.
- Communicating project progress to the Creative Director and/or account leads.
Essential skills:
- At least 2 years of relevant design experience in an agency environment.
- Maintain an appropriate level of professionalism.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude, bringing energy to the agency.
- Be proactive and solution focused.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Problem solving.
- Experience presenting to clients.
- Scamping and prototyping concepts to deadlines.
- Proficient in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, XD and Photoshop.
- Good working experience across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and the Google equivalents.
- Storyboarding.
- Working experience in CMS systems.
- Photography.
- Illustration.
- Understanding of accessibility standards.
This role would be based in our Leith office in Edinburgh but our hybrid-working model offers the opportunity to work some of the week remotely. We offer staff 34-days holiday p/a, plus competitive pension and life insurance. Staff members also receive one paid day a year off to support local charities.
