The Commercial Director will lead marketing, external positioning and operational leadership for Colworth Science Park, ensuring high standards of maintenance, service and compliance while driving tenant satisfaction and business growth.
Role Summary / Purpose and Scope
The role is based in Colworth Science Park, with travel to other science parks, London and university sites. Responsibilities include managing site marketing, supervising operational teams, authorising promotional works, managing budgets and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

- Budgeting, financial reconciliation and cost control

- Leadership, coaching and team development
- Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
- IOSH membership (required) and NEBOSH or equivalent desirable
- IWFM membership (required)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results, prioritise work and innovate solutions
Experience and Qualifications
- Health, Safety and Environmental Management experience with reference to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Experience in budget setting, management and reconciliation
- Experience in occupier and retail management
- Experience managing contractors and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Familiarity with risk‑management systems such as Riskwise/H&S Compliance systems and CAFM
- Professional certification: IOSH essential / NEBOSH desirable
- Professional membership: IWFM required
Working Hours
9am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday
Salary
£70,000 to £75,000 per annum, based on experience.
