This is a role with real ambition behind it. You’ll be responsible for collating and organising content, developing posts, sourcing audio, monitoring trends and reporting on what’s happening across the social landscape; from competitor drivers to leading athletes. You’ll also be responsible for creating a strategy for wearegrip’s social accounts and implementing it alongside our wider social team. As you grow into the role and demonstrate your strong understanding of social media, our drivers and their audiences, the goal is for you to take full end‑to‑end ownership of multiple racing driver and/or athlete accounts. We’re a small team, so it’s essential that you’re self‑motivated and have the passion and determination to continually grow and evolve your skill set. You will often have the opportunity to work on wider campaigns that exist beyond social, and you’ll work collaboratively across a range of projects within wearegrip.
About us: We are wearegrip, a London‑based creative studio who work with some of the most exciting drivers in F1. Our goal is to build the most distinctive personal brands in sport that capture the attention of fans, teams, and brands around the world. Working hand‑in‑hand with each driver, we create and manage their personal brand across social media, branding, marketing, merchandise, content creation, digital, and more. About you: You are based in London and can commute to East London at least 4 times a week. You have at least 3 years of experience in a Social Media role, ideally within sport. You have experience working on high‑profile social media accounts with an audience of 50,000+. You have experience supporting or contributing to social media accounts with a large and engaged audience. You have a huge passion for motorsport and specifically Formula 1. You have a good understanding of best practices and emerging trends across the main social media networks (Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, YouTube & Facebook). You have excellent English copywriting skills and a strong instinct for tone of voice. You’re obsessed with social media, always watching what other athletes, drivers and creators are doing and thinking about why it works. You can commit to working a minimum of 20 weekends across the Formula 1 Calendar, with days off in the week for any weekends worked. You have a creative mind that continually looks to find new ways to be unique in the ever‑changing world of social media.
Your responsibilities (but not limited to):
