We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing speciality Insurer to recruit a Finance Systems Business Analyst.

The successful candidate will support the Head of Finance Systems and wider Finance team in delivering finance systems, process and data transformation over a 12-month interim period.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a key bridge between Finance, Technology, and Data teams, ensuring Finance requirements are clearly understood and translated into practical, scalable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the end-to-end Finance systems landscape, including system architecture, interactions, data flows, integrations, ownership models, and reporting dependencies.
  • Support the delivery of the Finance Systems strategy through business analysis, requirements definition, process design, solution evaluation, and implementation support.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing evolution of the Finance Systems Blueprint by documenting the current-state architecture, identifying gaps, and supporting the design of the target-state operating model.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify Finance processes, automate manual activities, strengthen controls, reduce complexity, and improve scalability.
  • Define detailed business requirements, process maps, user stories, dependencies, decision points, data requirements, and implementation inputs for transformation initiatives.
  • Support the development of Databricks as the single source of truth for Finance data, including data ownership, standards, governance, quality controls, and reporting requirements.
  • Identify and coordinate the resolution of data issues, helping to improve data consistency, completeness, accuracy, reliability, and usability.
  • Review Finance integrations and recommend improvements to ownership, monitoring, resilience, performance, and scalability.
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, Data, Procurement, Human Resources, and external vendors to deliver effective system, data, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Support the optimisation of key Finance platforms, including Net Suite and Concur, by assessing system capabilities, processes, controls, reporting, integrations, vendor roadmaps, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Procure-to-Pay, travel and expense processes, automation, analytics, and reporting while reducing manual reconciliations, spreadsheet dependencies, and end-user computing solutions.
  • Support testing, implementation, stakeholder adoption, benefits tracking, governance, and continuous improvement to ensure Finance technology investments deliver maximum value.
