We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our Finance team at Cheltenham racecourse. The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for accurately allocating cash from different income sources, reconciling bank accounts, and maintaining the accounts receivable ledger at The Jockey Club. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, especially the commercial sales team, to deliver a positive customer experience and manage risks related to outstanding payments. The role will also include actively following up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment, meeting KPI and SLA standards.

At the Finance Centre, we’re here to support and help the teams across The Jockey Club. Helping our racecourses to deliver thrilling events daily. At the Finance Centre, we have three key teams – Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Finance Support. Our teams work smart and are not fazed by high transactional volumes - each month, we’re managing and processing thousands of transactions.
The Accounts Receivable Analyst will:
- Analyse and post daily income from sources such as online ticketing, membership and events via platforms such as Stripe, Future Ticketing.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and post banking receipts.
- Address internal and external queries through the Service Desk and phone calls.
- Proactively chase outstanding invoices by phone/email.
- Reconcile and analyse credit card receipts.
- Investigate and clear unapplied receipts and payments.
- Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders regarding outstanding debt & any non-payment issues.
- Reconcile and issue monthly recharge invoices.
- Perform month-end analysis and reporting for all JCR entities.
- Collaborate with the Finance Centre and wider business to improve system practices.
- Follow internal audit procedures as required.
- Operate in a way that ensures you are a recognised role model for the Jockey Club.
- Be keen to contribute to the success of the Finance Centre and perform any ad hoc duties that fall under our remit.
- Have a working knowledge of all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions.
- Be confident dealing with complex reconciliations.
- Experience of using Oracle NetSuite is desirable.
- Be self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
