Who are Coolr? We’re an independent social media agency and team of creatives, social experts, content publishers and change makers. Completely wired into popular culture, our work connects brands with their audiences at scale. With clients such as Burger King, Lidl, Deliveroo and Compare the Market, our aim is to be the biggest social agency in the world. The agency is growing at a rapid rate, but we’re only just getting started. In 2026, we have ambitious plans to truly become the stand-out social agency in the UK, the US, and beyond. We have a strong platform for growth and have made great strides forward – now we really want to take things to the next level.
About the role: We are looking for a Senior Social Creative to own the creative, quality and decision-making for a leading brand’s always-on and reactive social presence. This role is centred on a newsroom-led approach to social – combining cultural foresight with real-time responsiveness to ensure the brand shows up early, confidently and distinctively in the moments that matter.
You will be the ultimate owner of reactive creative standards, responsible for setting the bar on quality, speed and judgement across feed and community responses. Working closely with mid-weight and junior social creatives, community management and content creators, you will guide development, elevate craft and ensure work consistently meets the brand’s creative and cultural expectations.
You will collaborate closely with Client Services, Strategy and Production to refine ways of working, streamline reactive processes and build confidence in how the brand’s social presence is planned, activated and evolved in real time.
The job:
- Lead the creative oversight of all always-on and reactive social output, ensuring work is culturally relevant, platform-first and consistently high quality.
- Spearhead a newsroom-led social model, combining long-term cultural foresight with real-time social listening to plan, action and respond to timely moments.
- Provide hands-on leadership, direction and constructive feedback, raising creative judgement, speed and accountability across the team.
- Work closely with Client Services to streamline reactive workflows, clarify escalation routes and ensure opportunities are surfaced and acted on quickly.
- Push creative thinking across the team and with clients, championing bold, culturally grounded ideas that feel native to the platform and moment.
- Partner with Strategy, Studios and Design where needed to elevate execution while maintaining the speed required for reactive content.
- Lead creative conversations with client stakeholders, confidently presenting reactive thinking, rationale and learnings.
Working alongside a mid-weight and junior creative, you will:
- Own ideation for always-on and reactive content and community engagement to deliver standout social moments.
- Own reactive social activity, setting clear creative standards and making fast, confident decisions on timing, platform and feed vs comment-only execution.
- Conceptualise and shape social-first content ideas and copy across all major platforms, with a strong instinct for humour, relevance and tone.
- Stay deeply plugged into culture, trends and platform behaviour, acting as a cultural editor for the brand.
What we are looking for:
- A deep passion for social media, culture and culturally relevant creative storytelling.
- Proven experience leading always-on and reactive social output for major brands.
- Strong editorial judgement and comfort working at speed in fast-moving cultural moments.
- Experience coaching and developing junior creatives with a high-bar but supportive approach.
- Excellent copywriting skills across short-form, reactive and always-on content.
- Confident navigating brand guidelines while knowing when and how to push boundaries.
- Strong instinct for platform behaviour, humour and timing.
- A collaborative leader who works seamlessly with Client Services and cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable presenting creative thinking and reactive decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Able to juggle multiple priorities without sacrificing quality or cultural sharpness.
