We are partnering with a high-growth tech startup operating in the future of work / coaching space, currently scaling rapidly across global markets. The business is building a platform designed to make high-quality coaching and professional development accessible at scale, combining a global network of expert coaches with technology, automation, and data-driven delivery. As they continue to grow, they are now looking for an Operational Lead (Systems & Delivery) to play a central role in shaping how the business operates and scales.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional operations role focused purely on keeping things running. This is a role for someone who thinks about operations as a system to be designed, improved, and scaled. You will sit at the centre of the business, owning how programmes and delivery operations function end-to-end while redesigning workflows, improving infrastructure, and introducing automation and AI into operational processes where it creates real value. The company is evolving quickly, and they are looking for someone who can help move the operational function from reactive service delivery toward a far more scalable, product-minded operating model. You will work closely with senior leadership and have genuine influence over how the business scales operationally over the next few years.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and improve the operational systems behind programme delivery
- Design scalable workflows across scheduling, allocation, onboarding, communication, and reporting
- Identify inefficiencies and redesign operational processes from the ground up
- Build systems that reduce manual effort and improve consistency at scale
- Balance day-to-day operational delivery with long-term systems thinking
Automation & AI Workflows
- Identify opportunities to automate operational processes using modern tooling and AI
- Improve workflows across scheduling, reporting, quality monitoring, coach communications, and delivery operations
- Work closely with Product and leadership teams to reduce operational friction through smarter systems
- Evaluate and introduce tools that improve scalability and efficiency
Coach Network & Operational Planning
- Support operational planning and capacity management across a global network
- Improve visibility across delivery operations, allocation, and quality
- Help create a seamless operational experience for both coaches and internal teams
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and develop a small operational team
- Partner closely with Product, Customer Success, and leadership teams
- Introduce structure, prioritisation, and operational roadmaps
- Bring clarity and momentum in a fast-moving, scaling environment
What They’re Looking For
This role would suit someone who combines operational leadership with strong systems thinking and a builder mindset. Ideal backgrounds could include:
- Startup / scale-up operations
- Marketplace or platform operations
- Program / service delivery operations
- Product-minded operational leadership roles
You’ll likely have:
- Experience operating in fast-paced, scaling businesses
- A track record of improving or redesigning workflows and operational systems
- Experience introducing automation into operational processes
- Exposure to AI tools and workflow automation (e.g. Zapier, Notion, Airtable, GPT tools, etc.)
- Strong cross-functional experience across operations, product, and delivery teams
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement, scalability, and user experience
What Makes This Role Interesting
- High ownership and visibility within the business
- Opportunity to shape the operational infrastructure of a scaling company
- Blend of operations, systems design, automation, and strategic problem-solving
- Fast-paced environment with significant growth potential
- Genuine opportunity to influence how modern coaching and learning experiences are delivered at scale
