We are partnering with a fast-growing and highly regarded brand experience agency to appoint a Finance Director. Reporting to the Group CFO, this is a pivotal leadership role with significant influence across financial strategy, commercial performance, and operational decision-making.
This opportunity offers scope for an experienced Finance Director or a high-performing senior finance professional ready to step into their first FD role, within a dynamic, creative, and commercially driven environment.
The Role
As Finance Director, you will take ownership of the financial operations across the business, ensuring robust governance, high-quality reporting, and insightful analysis to support strategic growth. You will lead a small finance team while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles, including scenario modelling and strategic analysis
- Overseeing monthly reporting, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and delivery of high-quality management information
- Strengthening financial controls, compliance, and risk management frameworks across the business
- Acting as a commercial finance partner to client and account teams, driving profitability, pricing strategy, and performance insight
- Supporting M&A activity, including financial due diligence, valuation modelling, and post-acquisition integration
- Managing cash flow, working capital, and treasury processes, driving improvements in cash conversion and efficiency
- Continuously improving financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities
About You
Essential:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience
- Proven track record in financial management, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience working within a marketing, media, creative, or agency-based environment
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to influence and partner with non-finance stakeholders
- Experience supporting M&A activity (e.g. due diligence, modelling, integration)
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a finance team
- A proactive and analytical mindset, with excellent communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience operating within a multi-entity or international business
- Exposure to project-based or retained revenue models
