We’re working exclusively with a well-established digital agency to appoint a Senior Client Manager into their Client Services function. This role is ideal for an experienced agency professional who enjoys leading client relationships, driving account growth, and delivering complex digital work in a collaborative environment. The agency partners with a portfolio of recognisable consumer brands, helping them create and evolve digital products and platforms that deliver real commercial and customer impact.

The Role

As Senior Client Manager, you’ll sit at the centre of client relationships and delivery teams. Your focus will be on ensuring clients receive outstanding service, projects are delivered effectively, and accounts continue to grow in value and scope. You’ll work closely with specialists across strategy, design, engineering, and optimisation, acting as the connective tissue between client objectives and internal delivery. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with practical execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop a portfolio of existing client accounts, acting as a trusted senior contact
  • Drive account growth through identifying new opportunities and expanding existing engagements
  • Ensure financial performance and commercial health across your client portfolio
  • Translate client challenges into clear, actionable briefs for internal teams
  • Oversee the successful delivery of digital programmes across web, eCommerce, CMS, and app development
  • Partner with sales and leadership teams on proposals, pitches, and new business activity
  • Support and guide more junior client services colleagues, providing mentorship and leadership
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority

About You

You’ll be an experienced client services professional with a strong background in digital agency environments. You’re confident managing multiple clients, navigating complexity, and building long-term partnerships. You’ll bring:

  • A solid understanding of digital delivery across strategy, UX/UI, development, and optimisation
  • Proven experience retaining and expanding client accounts
  • The ability to build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and forecasts
  • A calm, solutions-focused approach, even in fast-moving environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Experience & Background

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a client-facing role within a digital agency
  • Experience working across multiple projects and client contexts simultaneously
  • Exposure to mentoring or managing junior team members
  • A genuine interest in digital products, platforms, and emerging technologies
  • Comfortable working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
