Overview

We are working with a well-established international events business with 30+ years’ experience delivering large-scale exhibitions and conferences across energy, infrastructure, tech, and innovation. They’re expanding their renewable energy portfolio and looking for a Business Development Manager to help grow their European client base.

About the Event

A leading renewable energy exhibition in Barcelona bringing together:

  • Solar and battery storage innovators
  • Infrastructure and clean energy developers
  • Utilities and commercial energy users
  • Investors, installers and solution providers

It is a key meeting point for partnerships and deals shaping Europe’s clean energy future.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact to close.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers across Europe.
  • Sell exhibition space and sponsorship packages.
  • Create tailored proposals in Spanish and English.
  • Manage pipeline using CRM (Salesforce).
  • Work closely with marketing, ops and conference teams.
  • Propose ideas to help grow event performance.

What we’re looking for

  • Native Spanish or Catalan speaker.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • 1‑2 years of experience in sales, business development, recruitment, events or a client‑facing role.
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working to targets and managing multiple priorities.
  • Organised, resilient and commercially minded.
  • Interest in renewable energy or sustainability is a plus.
