We're partnering with a leading private equity-backed business to appoint a Senior SEO & AI Automation Manager. This is a newly created role for a forward-thinking digital professional who operates at the intersection of technical SEO, AI-powered discovery and marketing automation.

You'll own the organic growth strategy across a large portfolio of websites, improve visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI platforms, and build scalable automation systems that reduce manual work and improve output across the marketing team. This is not a maintenance SEO role. You'll own the organic roadmap from strategy through to implementation, reporting and continuous optimisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the organic search strategy across a large portfolio of websites.
  • Develop and manage an end-to-end SEO roadmap aligned with wider growth objectives.
  • Lead technical SEO audits, site architecture improvements and schema implementation.
  • Work closely with content, product and development teams to embed SEO best practice across all projects.
  • Improve visibility across traditional search engines and AI-generated search experiences.
  • Design and implement Python-based automation for keyword research, rank tracking, backlink analysis and competitor monitoring.
  • Apply AI and machine-learning techniques, including natural-language processing, clustering and predictive modelling, to SEO and marketing workflows.
  • Build scalable tools and intelligent workflows that reduce repetitive work and improve consistency.
  • Develop APIs and data pipelines connecting SEO tools, analytics platforms and internal dashboards.
  • Develop automated reporting systems using Python, Pandas and visualisation libraries such as Matplotlib or Plotly.
  • Monitor SEO KPIs, identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Use predictive analysis to anticipate traffic trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Present technical and performance insights clearly to senior and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • At least five years' SEO experience, with evidence of delivering sustained organic growth.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, site architecture, schema and link-building strategies.
  • Strong experience using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush and Screaming Frog.
  • Practical Python programming experience, ideally within SEO, data analysis or marketing automation.
  • Experience applying natural-language processing, clustering or predictive modelling to SEO or marketing data.
  • Familiarity with tools or frameworks such as scikit-learn, spaCy, TensorFlow or Hugging Face.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder-management and leadership skills.
  • Experience working across a multi-site, multi-brand or international digital portfolio would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with APIs, Git, CI/CD and cloud deployment.
  • Familiarity with BigQuery or another large-scale analytics platform.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a newly created function with genuine international scale. You'll combine strategic ownership with hands-on technical delivery, influencing organic growth while building the AI-enabled systems that transform how a large marketing team operates.
