About the Role
We are hiring an Audio Planning & Buying Executive to join a collaborative, close-knit planning team within a leading independent media agency. This is a great opportunity for someone with agency experience in audio planning and buying to step into a hands-on role across both traditional radio and digital audio channels.
You will work across a diverse client base, planning and buying media across radio, podcasts, Spotify, and programmatic audio, with a strong emphasis on traditional radio expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and buy audio media across traditional radio and digital audio platforms
- Work on campaigns spanning radio, podcasts, Spotify, and programmatic audio
- Use industry planning tools (e.g., Telmar, J-ET, RALF) to build and optimise media plans
- Liaise with media owners to negotiate rates and secure inventory
- Support campaign delivery from planning through to execution and optimisation
- Monitor performance and provide insights and recommendations
- Collaborate closely with internal planning teams in a 10-person, highly collaborative environment
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve campaign performance and planning processes
Required Experience (Must-Have)
- 2+ years' experience in an audio planning and buying role within a media agency
- Strong experience across traditional radio planning (non-negotiable)
- Exposure to digital audio channels (podcasts, Spotify, programmatic audio)
- Hands-on experience using planning tools such as: Telmar, J-ET, RALF
- Experience working on audited clients within a network agency environment
- Strong understanding of commercial agreements, rate negotiations, and trading processes
- Solid knowledge of the wider advertising and media landscape
