Salary £45k – £65k + Commission
Overview
We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive net-new revenue within the Retail sector. This is a hunter-focused role, targeting mid-market to enterprise retail brands, selling a data-led SaaS solution that helps businesses make smarter, insight-driven decisions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on opening doors, building pipeline from scratch, and winning new logos in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment.
Key Responsibilities

Own the full new business sales cycle from prospecting through to close

Identify, engage, and convert Retail brands (eCommerce and bricks-and-mortar)

Sell a data-driven SaaS platform, tailoring value propositions to retail use cases

Build and manage a strong pipeline through outbound activity, referrals, and events

Run discovery-led sales conversations with senior stakeholders (Head of Retail, Commercial Directors, Digital Leads)

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding post-sale

Consistently achieve and exceed new business revenue targets
Required Experience

Proven experience as a Business Development Manager / Account Executive in a new business role

Background selling SaaS, software, or data-led solutions

Experience selling into the Retail sector

Strong hunter mentality with demonstrable new logo wins

Confident running complex, consultative sales cycles

Comfortable engaging senior decision-makers
