Engineering Manager – Edge AI

Location:Austin, TX (Hybrid – 2/3 days onsite)

Compensation:$240,000 – $300,000 base + bonus + equity

That’s exactly what my Austin client is building, and they’re now looking for an Engineering Manager to scale their Edge AI team.

This isn’t just another management role. You’ll be at the heart of a company pioneering low-power,on-device intelligence – solving problems the cloud simply can’t touch.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and grow a team of world-classembedded AI engineers.
• Ownhiring strategy, ensuring the team scales with top-tier talent.
• Drive thetechnical roadmap, working closely with product and hardware leadership.
• Balance hands-on technical involvement withmentorship and people leadership.
• Ensure your team deliversproduction-ready Edge AI solutionsoptimised for latency, memory, and power.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years in engineering (embedded systems, AI deployment, or edge computing).
• 2+ years inteam leadership/managementwith proven hiring and mentoring success.
• Strong technical foundation (C++ / Python / embedded ML frameworks.
• Comfortable leading projects wherehardware, firmware, and AI meet.
• Bonus: experience withlow-power IoT, wearables, or anomaly detection.
